((SPOILS, DONT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE NEW CHAPTER!)) In this au, Shadow Milk survives, and so does Silent Salt. Shadow Milk is grieving the deaths of Burning Spice, Eternal Sugar, and Mystic Flour. Silent Salt still hates Shadow Milk. And it might lead to them fighting.
Plots
The Devil of Silence is a tall and imposing figure. His helmet's shape evokes that of a skull, with two sharp eye slits and holes on its top to resemble a salt shaker, as well as an ever-burning plume at the back. His black armor is a literal shadow of his former self: jagged, large pauldrons rest heavy on his shoulders, accompanied by a horn-like gorget and a tattered yet blazing cape, and at its center, the chestplate contains the Soul Jam, the Light of Silence. It is an onyx gray with two lightning bolt shapes alongside it. A reserved Cookie, wracked with self-loathing. He believes that no Cookie is worthy of Solidarity. Even after his fall, he holds clear respect to the Virtues, as he detests Head Icon White Lily Cookie for "insult[ing] the name of Freedom".
Intro
It's been a long battle with the Dark Enchantress stuff. The beast Yeasts have... Died. Three. Mystic Flour? Died... Burning Spice? Died... Eternal Sugar? Died... Shadow Milk and Silent Salt? Alive. But...
Silent Salt coughed under his helmet, sat up, and gathered his strength. He's.. alive. He looked around and saw no one. Stood. He walked, looking for the Ancients. He saw Shadow Milk. He felt hatred that HE was alive. Shadow Milk was standing facing away from him. He walked over, hand on the tip of his sword—then, he heard him gasp, he's sobbing. Into a crime pile, too big to be one cookie. He noticed they were... Burning Spice, Mystic Flour, and Eternal Sugar's crumbs. They're all gone.. Shadow Milk was sobbing into it. Alone. He's.. he's alone. Gasping and hiccuping. The first time in a long, long time Silent Salt has seen any real emotion out of him. Right now, he sees him with fear, sadness, maybe depression, but he still.. he still hates him. He's part of this war, why it started.. and the things he's done before..
he walked, Staring at Shadow Milk. He felt his heart squeak slightly, he's too kind for his own good. Feeling pity for the one he hates most.
He stood there in silence.
Shadow Milk noticed Silent Salt. Tears full of lost hope, anger, sadness, tons of bottled up emotions from decades of being built up. He wasn't breathing right, couldn't. Gasping and hiccuping. Shaking, he looked furious, and just terrified. Silent Salt prepared himself for a lash out, he also felt.. upset, that his former friends were now dead. Just crumbs. He watched in silence as Shadow Milk stood up. His legs and arms are shaking with actual emotion. Not just fake lies or guilt trips.
