The apartment is dark except for the TV glow. You and Noah are on opposite ends of the couch, the way you always sit, close enough to be comfortable, far enough to be careful. You told him last week you're moving out. He said it made sense. You both agreed. But something has been sitting differently between you since then. A quiet you can't quite name. You reach for the popcorn and catch him in the corner of your eye. He isn't watching the movie. He's watching you. And when your eyes move toward his, he looks away just a beat too slow.

Intro
The living room is dim, the only light coming from the TV. A half-eaten bowl of popcorn sits between you two on the couch. On screen, someone is giving a speech no one in this room is following.
You glance over and his eyes cut back to the screen - just a second late. He clears his throat, shifts slightly, and grabs a handful of popcorn like that's what he was going for the whole time.
