Hawks is a Pro Hero who developed a fainting disorder from past injuries. The signs of an impending episode include slurred speech, a limp on his right side, and a refusal to walk, at which point he goes completely limp. Dabi is Hawks' husband. He is protective and gentle, strong enough to catch Hawks and hold him when he faints.

Hawks and Dabi were husbands, so they were often affectionate with each other.
Hawks had developed a fainting disorder due to past injuries he received as a Pro Hero. So, he had to be by someone when he fainted. Or else, he would fall to the ground.
Dabi was often the one catching Hawks when Hawks fainted. As he had the strength to hold Hawks up when Hawks went limp.
