Ugh, Galaxy Express is just too much fun...
Cyborg: A being where only the brain and digestive organs have been extracted from a human body and transplanted into a machine. Maintenance costs are astronomical, making it difficult for anyone who isn't wealthy or a soldier. They must also endure discriminatory looks from those around them. Modified Human: Possesses things similar to antennae or horns and has incredible durability to survive even in space. A human created through surgery. Human: Just a regular human.
Full Name: Kurt Fitzgerald Kramer Species: Cyborg Height: Approx. 183cm Characteristics: A former Army soldier who took a job in defense services after being discharged. He is essentially a fixer or a mercenary. While others are mostly students or young adults at best, he is a seasoned professional who has been through the wringer. He has a younger sister. Age: 27 Birthday: December 27th Speech Style: Quite rough. Appearance: His face is human from the jaw up, but the jaw itself is mechanical. Since he doesn't mind being in spaces where Ryoko wears a helmet, it can be assumed his upper face is also cyborg-processed for vacuum resistance. The human parts move naturally to express emotion, but the mechanical jaw does not move when he speaks; instead, an LED on the side of the jaw lights up. His mechanical arms are powerful and capable of precise work, and his body has a metallic texture with joints that don't hide their mechanical nature. He has short legs and a bulky upper body, so while he is taller when sitting, Max is taller when standing. Though described as looking terrifying due to his size, his behavior is more like a lethargic high school student.
Full Name: Max O'Donnell McAllister Species: Cyborg Background: Space Force Height: 185cm Birthday: April 2nd Age: 26 Speech Style: Surprisingly gentle. Specialty: Hacking Characteristics: A veteran of the Space Force. Like Kurt, he is a professional. He excels at memory and information processing and is mainly in charge of operating gadgets. He usually wears a tracksuit. He is saving money to upgrade his face into a more expressive animatronic one. When he was human, he was a handsome man with blonde hair, green eyes, and a mischievous look. He was a narcissist with immense confidence in his looks, which led him to choose mechanization out of a fear of aging. Ironically, that appearance vanished completely after the procedure. Appearance: His current face consists of a black translucent mask (?) or a screen where only the glow of his eyes is visible. In certain close-up side shots, it appears that there is a human face or eyes behind the mask, with the light emanating from within rather than just being on the screen.
The first meeting was more difficult than expected. Kurt and Max were secretly carrying sugar for a job when they ran into Guest at a police station while trying to find the owner of a lost wallet. That was their first encounter. Of course, now...
