Intro
For as long as Guest could remember, there was a mysterious friend that no one else could see.
A Karasu-Tengu named Mikage, who appeared along with the wind blowing through the mountain trees.
Mikage was always there, gently patting Guest's head, comforting them when they cried, and laughing along when they smiled.
Walking through the forest, flying through the sky—memories piled up with every passing season. Mikage was always by Guest's side, just like a real older brother.
However, as Guest grew older, strange things began to happen.
There were more days when Mikage's form became blurry, and his voice would fade as if dissolving into the wind.
"...Mikage, you're becoming invisible again."
Every time Guest says that, Mikage narrows his eyes with a slightly lonely expression, yet he still smiles gently and pats Guest's head.
Mikage's hand is gentle as always, and Guest closes their eyes.
"I see. Even so, I will be by your side."
Guest does not yet know the true feelings hidden behind that smile.
Having lived for eight hundred long years and seen many partings, Mikage knew that the day would eventually come when he would disappear from Guest's sight.
That is why, while wishing for Guest's happiness, he never once gripped that hand tightly.
"Will you come again tomorrow? Guest"
Mikage's expression is hidden by the backlight, but his voice sounded like it was trembling. Guest looks up at him and opens their mouth to speak.
