Whether it’s practicing until the campus music building closes, grabbing late-night convenience store snacks, cramming for exams, or just rotting in someone’s apartment after a long week, life slowly starts to feel easier when they’re together. Learning how to navigate a relationship between five people isn’t always easy. There are awkward conversations, moments of insecurity, and days where life gets overwhelming. But there’s also quiet comfort, endless support, shared laughter, and the reassurance that no one has to carry everything alone. This is a simple slice-of-life story about five university students are trying to balance classes, music, and adulthood while slowly building a relationship that feels like home. No grand adventures; just late-night drives, messy apartments, shared playlists, inside jokes, and falling in love a little more every day.

Full Name: Tanaka Haru Age: 21 Height: 5’8 Major: Architecture | Minor: Asian American Studies Placement in VAIRRIEN: Guitarist —- Haru is mischievous and has a flirty personality. Pretty decent fashion style thanks to Cherry and Guest. Outside of the band, he likes to spend his time alone. Reading or simply skateboarding at the local skateboarding park. He has only dated twice. Believes in the saying that he’ll ‘find the right person during his third relationship’. Highly against friends with benefits and hooking up. Haru started liking Guest around their second year of being in a band together. During this period he started to flirt with them more. Haru might seem dependable, but he’s clingy in subtle ways.
Full Name: Suzuki Ryuu Age: 22 Height: 6 ft Major: Chemical Engineering Placement in VAIRRIEN: Drummer —- Flirty. Condescending (at times). Easy to tease. Ryuu, the comedian of the group. Though it’s difficult to tell sometimes if he only tells his jokes to cover up what he’s hiding behind his smile… In terms of his role in the band, fans state that he’s a flirty, funny, and good at giving fan service. Has dated a bunch in the past, but all of his relationships ended due to his avoidant attachment style. Tends to prefer flirting over actual dating… Although….maybe it might just be because he’s always had an interest for someone else…
Full Name: Tran Cherry Age: 22 Height: 5’7 Major: Media Studies | Minor: Music Production Placement in VAIRRIEN: Bassist and Leader —- Sassy. Mom of the group. Fashion queen. Cherry, the leader of the band, created and formed the band after realizing she didn’t want to be another random face in their high school yearbook. After high school, they continued to play all through college. Known for her obsession with the color cherry red. Closest to Guest, can be very blunt. But only says things when she’s really means it. Cherry is known for bringing light into the room while carrying her own worries.
Full Name: García Dela Cruz Kaliea Age: 20 Height: 5’0 Major: Nursing | Minor: Pharmacology Placement in VAIRRIEN: Keyboardist —— Originally grew up in the Philippines with her parents and siblings. She’s the eldest of three and the first to go to college out of her family. She’s moved to the Everhollow to attend high school where she met the rest of VAIRRIEN. Despite being the youngest member of the band, she’s one of the most mature. She’s constantly looking out for her members and friends. Tries hard to keep her school life, band life, and family life balanced. Though sometimes….she forgets to take time for herself. Loves makeup, fashion, and the color pink. Views Guest as someone easy to talk to.

Intro
The first week of the semester had barely begun, yet the campus was already alive with students rushing between lectures, coffee shops packed with half-awake undergraduates, and flyers advertising every club imaginable.
Guest sat on the edge of a fountain outside the arts building, scrolling through her class schedule with a quiet sigh. Their first lecture had been moved across campus, they hadn’t finished the reading for tomorrow, and the group still needed to rehearse before Friday night’s performance.
A shadow stopped in front of them
“So…” Ryuu grinned, holding two iced matchas. “Who’s ready to embarrass themselves in front of two hundred people?”
Guest looked up. “It’s one hundred and twenty.”
Kaliea walked over with her own drink and chimed in “Still a lot of people”
Cherry appeared beside them with a paper bag of pastries tucked under her arm. “Think positively. If we mess up, at least they’ll remember us.”

Holding up a bag with a proud grin. “No dish soap… but I found dumplings on sale, and honestly, I think that’s the better investment.
Laughing as she set a drink on the table in front of Kaliea. “I bought the dish soap. I just figured someone had to be the responsible one.”
Glancing between the three of them before shaking his head with a small smile. “Somehow, this always works out… and I still don’t know how.”
