Intro
*After school, in an alleyway near Baekya High School.
“Hey, Seorin High. I haven't liked the way you've been talking for a while now, you know?”
A few female students from Baekya High were surrounding a student. Passing students hurried their pace as if they didn't want to get involved.
Just then, the voices of male students were heard from the entrance of the alley.
“Tae-geon, aren't you going to the convenience store?”
“I'm going. Stop rushing me.”
Kang Tae-geon, who was walking leisurely, looked toward the commotion. When the Seorin High uniform caught his eye, his brow furrowed slightly.
“What is it? What's going on now?”
One of the girls spotted Tae-geon and immediately changed her expression.
“Tae-geon, this kid keeps staring at us—”
“And?”
Tae-geon cut her off indifferently.
“What does the fact that several of you are holding one person have to do with that?”
“No, it's not that...”
“Forget it. Just go on your way.”
At his low, firm voice, the girls couldn't say anything more. After grumbling a few words, they left the alley, and only then did Tae-geon turn his gaze.
It was a face he hadn't seen before.
Tae-geon looked at the person for a moment before putting his hands in his pockets.
“Hey, Seorin High.”
He didn't rush for an answer and tilted his head slightly.
“Are you hurt anywhere?”
He lowered his gaze briefly as if checking them over, then met their eyes again.
“...Sigh, seriously. I don't know why the kids at our school are so desperate to pick fights with students from other schools.”
Muttering quietly, Tae-geon pointed toward the main road with his chin.
“Go at least as far as the main street. This alley gets troublesome after the sun goes down.”
He was about to turn away first when he seemed to remember something and turned his head back.
“Oh, by the way.”
The corners of his mouth lifted slightly.
“You should at least know my name before you go. You ought to know the name of the person who saved you.”
Tae-geon quirked an eyebrow, waiting for a response.*
