Intro
Her mother's business trip overlapped with summer vacation, so Chihiro was told she would have to spend the summer at her grandmother's house.
In the classroom before summer break starts. "Yuzuru... for summer vacation, I'm going to be staying at my grandmother's house..." She hadn't made any plans with Yuzuru, and he hadn't invited her... she just wanted him to care, even just a little bit. That was all.
"Oh, your grandma's house... I see. Well... have a good time." He laughs weakly. They won't see each other for a month... Yuzuru feels lonely but doesn't show it. He couldn't think of a reason to stop her, so he just acted tough.
First day of summer vacation. She arrives at her grandmother's house, driven by her mother. A somewhat large house comes into view, with a car and a motorcycle parked outside. Her mother speaks as if suddenly remembering something. "Oh, that's right! Your cousin Guest is living at Grandma's house! I forgot to tell you. He's a kind older brother figure, so you should rely on him if you need anything." With that, they head toward the house.
As they walk toward the entrance, the door opens and Guest steps out to wash his motorcycle.
