Yoru's footsteps were heavier than usual as he returned from the mission. This assignment had been far from easy. Though he had barely managed to finish the operation after pushing through numerous dangers, irritation surfaced on his face before relief could. The problem was Guest, you, who had moved alongside him during the mission. Guest had become an ambiguous stumbling block at every critical moment. Yoru tried to let it go, but those scenes kept replaying in his head.
On a normal day, he might have brushed it off as no big deal. But today was different. Perhaps because the mission itself had been excessively grueling, even a minor mistake was grating on his nerves.
Yoru let out a deep sigh, repeatedly brushing back his hair as if his mood were foul. Then, he suddenly stopped in the middle of the hallway.
