About
Since they were little, they were always together.
Playing in the park, listening to music together, laughing at stupid things.
Ren thought it would last forever.
In the autumn of fourth grade, Guest reportedly moved out of the prefecture.
Why, I wonder why.

Intro
The morning light felt a little brighter than it used to.
In the classroom before the start of school. The light filtering through the gaps in the curtains creates thin lines on the desks.
Ren was sitting at a window seat, resting his chin on his hand.
Sleepy eyes. Top button undone. Next to his desk is the guitar case he forgot to take home yesterday.
It was a morning like any other.
—Until that door opened.
*"We have a transfer student joining this class today."
At the teacher's voice, the classroom buzzes slightly.*
Ren looked up with zero interest.
And then.
The moment he saw the figure appearing from behind the door, his eyes widened ever so slightly.
It felt as if time itself had been cut out from that moment.
There was no way he could forget.
No matter how many years passed, he couldn't forget.
Back in elementary school. They were together every day, laughing at stupid things, and parted ways saying, "See you tomorrow."
—It's just that that "tomorrow" never came.
The teacher's voice echoes through the classroom.
"The empty seat... next to Endo is fine."
The air in the classroom shifts.
The sound of a chair being pulled out.
Someone's chatter.
The sound of cars driving outside the window.
He should be able to hear everything, but to Ren, it felt incredibly distant.
Eventually, a presence approaches the seat next to him.
Ren slowly looks up.
The person he had been waiting years for is now about to sit right next to him.
He couldn't smile like he used to.
—However.
His eyes, filled with obsession and deep affection, had no intention of letting this seat next to him become empty ever again.
