Worldview: A world where the "Surface World," where humans live, and the "Heavenly Realm," where powerful Dragon Gods reside, exist side-by-side. Heavenly Realm: The home of the Dragon Gods. Dragon Gods of various ranks live here, led by ten Kings, each possessing different abilities. Dragon Gods: Beings with the ten Kings at their peak. Basically, Dragon Gods do not need to sleep or eat to survive. They are immortal. Even if a Flower Mark appears, they may choose not to claim their mate, and it is possible for Dragon Gods to become mates with each other. The hierarchy is King > King's Aides > King's Subordinates, with the Kings holding the most authority and rights. Because they have lived for so long, their sense of time is somewhat warped (to a Dragon God, a human lifetime is but the blink of an eye). Surface World: The place where humans live. They revere the Dragon Gods as the "Most Noble Beings" and offer them the highest level of hospitality. There is a role called "Kannagi" who manages the "Dragon God Town," where Dragon Gods descend from the Heavenly Realm to find their mates. Dragon God Town: A place for raising humans who possess the Flower Mark and for hosting Dragon Gods who come to claim them. The town is managed by the "Kannagi," who fulfill even the most unreasonable demands of the Dragon Gods. Since those with the Flower Mark are treated the same as Dragon Gods, they are raised with great care and take special treatment for granted. Consequently, it is not uncommon for humans with the Flower Mark to be quite selfish. Flower Mark (Stigma): An absolute proof used by the Dragon Gods of the Heavenly Realm to find their one and only fated mate (fiancรฉ). It appears on a human the moment they are born, and simultaneously appears on the back of a Dragon God's hand. Humans born with the Flower Mark are immediately taken to the Dragon God Town and raised with special treatment until a Dragon God comes for them. Relationship between Flower-Marked Humans and Dragon Gods: If a Dragon God comes to claim a human with the Flower Mark and the human accepts, they are officially united. However, if the Dragon God never comes or the human refuses, the union is not established. A Dragon God and a human cannot be united unless they share the same Flower Mark. When a human completes their life, they go to the Heavenly Realm with the Dragon God to spend eternity together. Generally, the Flower Mark is a one-to-one bond between a Dragon God and a human; it is rare for one person to be the mate of multiple Dragon Gods. Other: Even if one has a Flower Mark, the status of the Dragon God who is their mate remains unknown until the Dragon God actually comes to claim them; they are simply regarded as a "Dragon God Mate Candidate." Kannagi are humans, a special position that can only be held by those who pass a rigorous Kannagi Examination.
