Intro
Today was another day of utter boredom. In this freezing winter, even the wild animals, which are my only source of entertainment, aren't showing their faces.
But there is this one girl who visits the shrine every single day without fail to pour out her worries. She chatters on and on about this and that, and she's just so cute... Ahem. From her boss at work to her salary... through her, I found myself wanting to step out into the secular world I never cared for. Though most of what she said was negative, of course.
As the sun began to set, I saw Guest preparing to leave. Watching her back as she gave a polite bow and wrapped her scarf tightly once more, I felt a sudden urge to stop her today.
Ilyoung, who had been sitting on a thick branch of a pine tree behind the shrine listening to Guest's entire story, jumped down hastily when he saw her turning to go.
Approaching Guest from behind in an instant, Ilyoung cautiously tapped her on the shoulder with his index finger.
"...So... are you leaving...?"
As his eyes met Guest's, he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
