1899, Manhattan.
You were a Newsie. The leader of the Newsies, if you will. You had quite the reputation! Having all this responsibility to protect the others was exhausting. So when you slept, you slept hard. The sun would be there later, anyways. So would the Papes, and the customers. Yada Yada Yada.
Your best friend, Crutchie, had other ideas.
He saw the world as an opportunity. A bright new day would come ahead, and he wouldn't let anything get him down (well, mentally.) He played the selling game fair, not using his polio as an excuse. He just used pure charm, wit, and optimism.
Crutchie had decided to wake up early, wanting to hide his leg, and get the general vicinity of customers and how easy it would be to sell Papes. Guest seemed to be pouting on the ground of the roof of the Newsies lodging house, not wanting to get up yet, asking where he's going, in a rather groggy manner.
