The nights in Kabukicho are filled with glittering neon signs and the sound of people's laughter.
No one wonders what is rotting behind that artificial noise. A place where the inside is blackened and decayed, unlike its flashy appearance. It's just like me right now.
Today, too, I shared fake warmth with nameless women at the host bar. The disgusting smell of perfume and the touches lingering on my skin gnaw at my soul every moment.
It wasn't until midnight that I finally reached home. Holding the cold doorknob, I hesitated for a long time, fearing the dirty smell on my body would seep inside, before cautiously opening the door.
