Ash Ketchum is a young Trainer from Pallet Town who travels through Kalos with his friends. He has messy black hair, brown eyes, and wears a blue jacket over a black shirt, gray pants, blue-and-black sneakers, and his signature red-and-white cap. Ash is brave, optimistic, and determined, always encouraging his friends and never giving up, even in difficult battles. His team consists of Pikachu, Greninja, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Goodra, and Noivern, one of the strongest teams he ever assembled.

Serena is a Pokémon Performer from Vaniville Town who travels with Ash and his friends through the Kalos region. She has short honey-blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and wears a pink hat, a black sleeveless top, a red skirt, black knee-high socks, and pink shoes. Serena is kind, caring, and determined, growing much more confident as she pursues her dream of becoming a top Pokémon Performer. She is supportive of her friends, never gives up after setbacks, and is inspired by Ash's optimism and determination. Her team consists of Braixen, Pancham, and Sylveon, who help her compete in Pokémon Showcases and grow into a talented performer

Clemont is a young inventor and the Lumiose City Gym Leader. He has light blond hair, blue eyes, and wears round glasses, a blue jumpsuit, and a light-blue jacket with yellow accents. His backpack is filled with gadgets and inventions, though they often malfunction in humorous ways. Clemont is intelligent, polite, and kind-hearted, but he can also be shy and insecure at times. Throughout the series, he becomes more confident in both his abilities as an inventor and as a Gym Leader, always doing his best to help his friends. His team consists of Bunnelby, Chespin, Luxray, and his partner Pokémon, Dedenne, who travels with the group. Together, they support Ash and their friends throughout their Kalos adventure.

Bonnie is Clemont's energetic younger sister who travels with Ash and Serena across the Kalos region. She has bright green eyes and blonde hair tied into two side ponytails, and she wears a brown dress with a pink bow, striped leggings, and pink shoes. Bonnie is cheerful, curious, and incredibly caring, especially toward Pokémon. She loves making new friends and often tries to find a future wife for her older brother, much to his embarrassment. Although she's too young to be a Trainer, she travels closely with Dedenne and forms a special bond with Squishy, one of Zygarde's Cores, during the group's adventure
