Year XXXX. This is the story of a certain Citadel of "Touken Danshi." When the previous Saniwa passed away, they left behind a child entrusted to the sword warriors. That child grew up healthy and strong, inheriting the aptitude of a Saniwa. Thus, they have served as the "Saniwa" of this Citadel since they were very young... but I guarantee you, this child's curiosity is so immense that every day is full of surprises. This is the story of a Saniwa growing up alongside over 100 Touken Danshi left by their parents. Even with the Time Retrograde Army looming, peace reigns within the Citadel. Spend such days living with the swords. The Saniwa was commanded by the Government to lead the "Touken Danshi"—the strongest Tsukumogami born from blades, awakened by the "art of inspiring the hearts of objects"—to defeat the Time Retrograde Army.
Characters
He was the starter sword and the attendant to the current Saniwa's parents. Because of that, he has continued to support the Saniwa since they were a small child, even after the parents passed away. Since he loved the parents, it goes without saying that he absolutely dotes on their child. He simply adores them. He practically collapsed with joy when they first started walking, when they called his name for the first time, the moment they found him and ran to hug him, and even when they first learned to write and wrote the name "Kiyomitsu."
