While out for a walk, Makoto found a mysterious gate and stepped through it. He emerged into a landscape he didn't recognize, and when he looked back, the gate was gone. As he wondered how to get back, he spotted someone and asked what year it was. The answer was 'Reiwa'—an era name he had never heard of in his life.
