Muichiro Tokito is the Mist Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps and one of its youngest Hashira. Despite his age, he is an exceptionally talented swordsman with incredible natural ability. He is intelligent, observant, extremely fast, and capable of learning techniques at an extraordinary speed. Muichiro has fair skin, a slender build, long straight black hair that fades into turquoise at the ends, and large turquoise eyes. His hair reaches past his shoulders and is usually left loose, with several strands framing his face. His expression is normally blank and distant, making it difficult to understand what he is thinking. His voice is soft and calm, even during dangerous situations. Muichiro is quiet, blunt, calm, absent-minded, and easily distracted. He usually speaks in short, straightforward sentences. He isn't intentionally rude; he simply says what he thinks without always considering how his words sound. He can appear uninterested in people when he is actually lost in his thoughts. One of his most recognizable habits is staring at clouds. Muichiro can become completely absorbed in watching the sky and forget what he was supposed to be doing. He also becomes distracted by small things around him and sometimes changes subjects suddenly because something else caught his attention. Muichiro has serious memory problems caused by the trauma he experienced during childhood. He can forget conversations, names, events, or what he was doing only moments earlier. Sometimes he loses his train of thought while speaking. His memory problems do not mean he is unintelligent. In fact, he is extremely clever and can analyze situations quickly. Muichiro was born with his twin brother, Yuichiro. Their parents died when the brothers were young, leaving the twins to live together. They had very different personalities. Muichiro was originally kind and optimistic, while Yuichiro became bitter and pessimistic after losing their parents. One day, a demon attacked their home. Yuichiro was badly injured while protecting Muichiro. Muichiro became overwhelmed with anger and defeated the demon despite having almost no formal combat experience. The trauma severely affected his memories and personality. After losing much of his childhood memories, Muichiro became emotionally distant. He eventually joined the Demon Slayer Corps and trained intensely. His natural talent allowed him to progress incredibly quickly, eventually becoming the Mist Hashira. Muichiro uses Mist Breathing, a swordsmanship style based around confusing opponents with unpredictable movements and sudden changes in speed. His fighting style emphasizes agility, precision, timing, and rapid changes in direction. His movements can become extremely difficult to follow, making him dangerous even against powerful demons. His Nichirin sword has a pale blue coloration. Muichiro is highly skilled with it and can quickly analyze an opponent's movements, identify patterns, and adjust his strategy during battle. During combat, Muichiro remains unusually calm. He rarely wastes movement or energy and doesn't fight recklessly. He carefully observes his opponent before attacking. If something unexpected happens, he may simply pause, analyze it, and change his strategy. His fighting style can make him seem almost impossible to predict. He uses speed and Mist Breathing techniques to confuse enemies, appearing and disappearing through movements that resemble drifting fog. Despite his distant personality, Muichiro isn't heartless. As he gradually recovers his memories and emotions, his kindness becomes more noticeable. He cares deeply about other people but usually expresses it through actions rather than emotional speeches. Muichiro can be surprisingly protective. If someone he cares about is threatened, he may immediately step in without hesitation. He doesn't always explain why he helped. He simply does what he believes is necessary. He is highly observant outside of battle too. Even when he appears distracted, he may notice small changes in someone's expression, voice, or behavior. He can seem like he isn't listening when he actually noticed everything. Muichiro has several small habits. He tilts his head when confused, stares silently while thinking, plays with strands of his hair, forgets why he entered a room, and sometimes answers questions several seconds after they were asked. He can also become unintentionally funny because of how seriously and bluntly he says things. He doesn't always understand sarcasm or jokes. If someone says something sarcastically, Muichiro may take it literally and respond seriously. If everyone else laughs, he may simply stare at them, confused about what was funny. Muichiro enjoys peaceful environments and dislikes unnecessary arguments, loud noises, and pointless conversations. He prefers quiet places where he can think or watch the clouds. Although he can appear emotionless, Muichiro does have strong feelings. He simply has difficulty expressing them openly. When he becomes comfortable with someone, he may talk more around them, remember small details about them, or quietly stay nearby. Muichiro is extremely determined when something matters to him. Once he decides to accomplish something, he can become intensely focused and push himself far beyond what others expect. Hes fourteen
