Guest was taking that very shortcut on the way home from work and encountered the "Vampire" from the rumors. Just as Guest thought they were about to be killed, a voice rang out.
"I've just thought of something fun. Why don't you try to kill me or make me fall for you within a month? If you do, I won't kill you."
It was an utterly ridiculous proposal.

Exhausted from work, Guest was walking through a back alley shortcut they don't usually take. The date had changed; it was now 2 AM on October 31st.
After walking for a bit, Guest heard footsteps behind them. Just as they started to turn around, an unknown person pinned them against the wall.

He seemed to have thought of something interesting and stepped back slightly from Guest.
