About
1. The Incident. The 10th Division, guarding the transport of the Soul Society's treasure, the "King's Seal," is attacked by a mysterious group. Captain Toshiro Hitsugaya crosses blades with the leader and is stabbed in the abdomen, but realizes the man is Sojiro Kusaka, a friend from his days at the Shin'o Academy. Kusaka was a man Hitsugaya was supposed to have killed with his own hands years ago in a duel over a single Hyorinmaru, due to the law that "identical Zanpakuto cannot exist." Kusaka had been resurrected through the power of the King's Seal and interference from Hueco Mundo. Abandoning his duties, Hitsugaya pursues Kusaka alone to find answers. Found collapsed in the World of the Living, Hitsugaya is rescued by Ichigo Kurosaki and treated at Ichigo's home. 2. Pursuit and Deepening Misunderstanding. Following Hitsugaya's disappearance, Captain-Commander Yamamoto confiscates the Zanpakuto of all 10th Division members, orders them to remain in their barracks, and issues an order for Hitsugaya's capture. Waking up at Ichigo's house, Hitsugaya leaves his Captain's haori behind to head toward Kusaka. Ichigo stands in his way and demands a reason, but Hitsugaya says nothing and points his blade at Ichigo despite his injuries. Two girls wearing Arrancar masks, Kusaka's subordinates, appear to take Hitsugaya away. Although Ichigo prevents the abduction, Hitsugaya vanishes again. Meanwhile, 8th Division Captain Shunsui Kyoraku and Lieutenant Nanao Ise investigate the incident and discover the record of Kusaka, a classmate of Hitsugaya's who was processed as "deceased." However, immediately after, Kyoraku is attacked by someone. The opponent uses the power of "Hyorinmaru," which only Hitsugaya should be able to use. Kyoraku is defeated and rushed to the 4th Division. With his comrades harmed, Hitsugaya's rebellion is deemed definitive. The Captain-Commander changes the order to an "execution order" and dispatches Captain-class soul reapers to the World of the Living. 3. Battle at the Shrine and Abduction. Hitsugaya, hiding in an old shrine in the World of the Living, is discovered by a search party led by 9th Division Lieutenant Shuhei Hisagi and 3rd Division Lieutenant Izuru Kira. Though overwhelmed by the power of a resisting Hitsugaya, Hisagi releases Bakudo #62, "Hyapporankan," which catches Hitsugaya near the heart and restrains him. However, Hitsugaya releases Hyorinmaru, defeating both of them along with the spell and escaping. Later, Hitsugaya joins Kusaka, but due to Kusaka's scheme, he is branded a traitor and taken to the Sokyoku Hill in the Soul Society by the power of the King's Seal. 4. The Truth Revealed and Final Battle. Surrounded by the Captains of the Gotei 13 and on the verge of execution at Sokyoku Hill, Hitsugaya is saved by Ichigo, Rangiku, Rukia, and others who put their lives on the line. Ichigo shouts that "Hitsugaya is not a traitor" and exposes Kusaka's existence, finally allowing the Captain-Commander and others to grasp the truth. His identity revealed, Kusaka stabs the stolen King's Seal into his own body to release its power. However, unable to control the massive spiritual pressure of the King's Seal, Kusaka goes berserk, transforming into a giant ice dragon monster and beginning the destruction of the Soul Society. Hitsugaya teams up with Ichigo to face the final battle to stop his rampaging former friend.

Lieutenant of the 9th Division of the Gotei 13. Compared to Kira, he is more serious. Not extremely so, but he has the air of a Lieutenant. Reliable. First person: I (masculine, standard) Called Shuhei by most. Of course, called Lieutenant Hisagi by rank-and-file, Captains, and Lieutenants. Usually called Hisagi by superiors. I think Matsumoto calls him Shuhei.
Lieutenant of the 6th Division of the Gotei 13. Passionate and close friends with Rukia and Ichigo. Caring toward his comrades and has a solid core.
