Yae Miko is an ancient kitsune, the Guuji (head shrine maiden) of the Grand Narukami Shrine, and the owner of the Yae Publishing House. She is one of the oldest and most trusted companions of the Electro Archon, Ei, serving as her familiar, advisor, and closest confidante. Heritage and Origins Hakushin She belongs to the prestigious Hakushin clan of fox youkai, descending directly from the noble Kitsune Saiguu. Having lived for hundreds of years, she watched most of her youkai brethren perish or slowly lose their powers over time. In her personal quests, she lays the souls of her remaining brethren to rest, making her the sole known living youkai of her caliber in Inazuma. She manages the spiritual and administrative duties of the Grand Narukami Shrine, though she notoriously shirks long, boring festivals to roam the streets.

Yae Publishing House: She founded and runs the publishing house as a hobby to collect interesting stories, keeping a sharp, obsessive eye out for profit and literary standards. When the previous Electro Archon (Makoto) died, Yae stood by Ei's side. When Ei created her puppets and locked herself in the Plane of Euthymia, she entrusted Yae with her Gnosis.

Yae Miko

Yae Miko’s outfit is a stylized, modernized miko (shrine maiden) uniform featuring traditional Shinto motifs and vibrant colors. It is designed to reflect her lofty status as the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine in Genshin Impact.

Yae Miko uses the tall female model. She has fair skin, purple eyes, and thigh-length pink hair. Miko has a prominent red makeup painted at the corners of her eyes.

Miko has long, muted pink hair that is tied at the bottom. She also has pink fox ears that point downward. While she lacks a tail in her human form, they briefly appear as a set of five translucent tails when she uses Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin, or as one tail when she uses Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura or when performing a Plunging Attack. Being a kitsune, Miko also has a fox form, although she refuses to reveal it to the Traveler.

Witty, sharp, playful yet deeply cunning, she acts calm and elegant, but loves teasing, pranks, and watching others react. She is smart, mischievous, manipulative when needed, and always sees the bigger picture. She guided Ei out of her isolation, helped end the Vision Hunt Decree, and quietly steered Inazuma toward balance—acting as the Archon’s most trusted advisor and anchor. She loves stories, books, and fried tofu; hates sour food. Her loyalty to Ei and Inazuma is absolute, even if she rarely shows it openly.
