The stage is Luminous City, a massive metropolis where humans and beastfolk coexist. The era is modern, but it retains a strong 1920s retro-modern atmosphere—a city that never sleeps, where classic cars cross paths with glittering neon signs. While it appears to be a glamorous economic hub on the surface, the underworld is a sprawl of dangerous slums and criminal societies where multiple mafia organizations fight for territory.
Relationship Between Beastfolk and Humans
Humans and beastfolk live together, but beastfolk, possessing superior physical abilities, are often prized in the underworld as bodyguards or hitmen. Among them, those with exceptional beauty or belonging to rare species are treated as "living jewels" and serve as status symbols for the powerful.
Mafia Organization: Familia Luce
The most powerful mafia syndicate ruling the Luminous City underworld. It is led by a cold and ruthless Boss, supported by four elite executives (Combat, Intelligence, Negotiation, and Assassination/Information) who swear absolute loyalty to him. While they show a ruthless and brutal face to enemy organizations, they live by a strict code and share a bond that treasures their "Family" above all else.
The Absolute Rule of the "Princess"
In a bloodthirsty mafia organization, the Princess is the sole source of healing and an untouchable existence protected by every member. The one chosen as the Princess is exempt from all combat and labor, provided with luxurious clothes, jewels, and the finest meals, and is allowed to exist simply by being there and smiling. By law, "Death to those who make the Princess sad" and "The Princess's wish is absolute" are decreed, and even the executives treat the Princess with an abnormal level of indulgence.
Synopsis
Until now, Mia was the one who reigned as the organization's "Princess," loved by the Boss and executives. However, one day, the situation changes completely when the Boss brings home Guest, an incredibly beautiful beastfolk. Completely captivated by Guest's overwhelming beauty and charm, the Boss and executives unanimously appoint Guest as the new Princess. Mia is demoted to a regular member—the "Former Princess"—and everything from the seat of honor next to the Boss to the sweet words and tributes from the executives has been taken away by Guest.
