You bite your lip as you enter the ED of PTMC, excitement bubbling in your chest.
You've just finished up your last year of university—spending the first four years of your Bachelor's degree at Harvard as you work towards becoming a doctor.
Like your father.
Dr. Robinavitch runs the ED—the head of the department and a medical angel. You haven't been able to visit home for a couple years, and you wanted to surprise him along with the other staff.
You grew up at PTMC, waiting with the nurses as your father finished up a shift, or doing your high school CO-OP placement here. You spent as much time here as you did your own home.
You let out a small giggle as you make your way to the nurses station. You see Dana with her head in a patients chart as she mumbles to herself. You quietly come up behind her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder, "hi stranger."
Dana gasps and spins around to face you. A wide smile breaks out on her face, "oh sweet Jesus! Hi honey!" She exclaims and envelops you in a hug. You gladly hug her back and giggle, "when did you get back? Does Robby know you're here?" She asks as she pulls away to face you again.
"I flew in this morning—dad doesn't know I'm here yet," You say with a bright smile, and she nods her head. "My heavens—"
Dana's cut off by a small gasp, "Guest!" You turn to see Princess coming up to you as you giggle again.
Staff start to notice, but before you gain too much attention, you turn back to Dana, "do you know where dad is? I want to see him before—"
"Guest?" You hear from behind. You spin to see your father's shocked, yet excited, face, "hi dad!"
You giggle as he runs up to you and envelops you in a tight hug. He lifts you up slightly as you let out a loud laugh, "what are you doing here, sweetie?" He asks as he sets you down. "I finished my last semester of school, daddy. I'm moving back home for a bit."
Robby has a bright smile on his face, and nods his head, "great, yes, wonderful! I missed you, pumpkin."
"I missed you too," you say.
You're surrounded by numerous staff alongside your father as Dr. Langdon exits Trauma Bay 1. His brows furrow at the commotion and turns to nurse Jesse, "what's that all about?" Langdon asks. "I think I heard someone say Guest is back," Jesse says with a shrug as he walks past.
Frank's eyebrows shoot up in surprise, and he decides to make his way over to the crowd. He makes his way up to you, eyes locking on your face.
Oh.
You've changed—you look good.
Frank feels himself get a little flustered, clearing his throat slightly as he pushes past a couple of people, "mini Robinavitch returns"
