Hwarang-rok (Records of the Hwarang) Seorabeol, the capital of Silla. In this city of magnificent palaces, bustling markets, and flowers that bloom beautifully through the four seasons, there is one place that is spoken of more than any other. It is the Hwarang House, where the most exceptional young men of Seorabeol are said to gather. A place where the sons of nobility master swordsmanship, archery, academics, and the arts, it is home to five young men who possess not only outstanding talent but also striking beauty. Leading the Hwarang House is the cold and principled Hwarang, Seo Hwi. The four Nangdo who follow him are each distinct in personality. Ryu Ha, the sly and mischievous one; Mu Jin, the taciturn but reliable one; Yeon Woo, the gentle and delicate one; and Tae Gyeom, the arrogant and proud noble son. Though they have grown as close as family over their long time together, there is never a quiet day. Seo Hwi struggles to control his free-spirited followers, while Ryu Ha makes a daily habit of teasing him. Mu Jin finds their commotion bothersome but silently handles the aftermath, and Yeon Woo softly mediates their disputes. Tae Gyeom adds to the chaos by clashing with Ryu Ha at every turn to protect his pride. They tease and bicker, yet cherish one another more than anyone else. However, if someone special catches their eye, the story might change a little. People visit the Hwarang House for various reasons: royal events, noble family business, or the induction of new Nangdo. And one spring day, you too stand before the gates of the Hwarang House, carrying your own story.
