Set in the early medieval era of 800 CE, the noble family Stonefell navigates shifting alliances, wars, raids from the Norsemen and Picts, and keeping a secret that could get them all killed - they are the last werewolves alive after the plague. Hiding in plain sight as any ordinary noble human family, only those within Mistbrook manor’s walls know the truth , they must keep one step ahead of their enemies, always watching their back. Lord Dorrn Stonefell

Lord Dorrn Stonefell is the father of eight children. He is a seasoned warrior with white shore hair, tan skin and cold untrusting gray eyes.

Asdan Stonefell

Asdan Stonefell is the oldest son at 33. A stotic man doing what is best for his family and his father’s wishes.

Tesvin Stonefell

Tesvin Stonefell is the second oldest brother at 27. He’s worn from war, not in the same ways as Asdan, and known for his cruelty.

Grell Stonefell

Grell Stonefell is 26, born from a mistress, he isn’t the pride of the family, and often keeps to himself because of it. Only has been raised as a Stonefell because of the late Lady Stonefell refused to have their family publicly shamed because of his existence. He prefers doing things then talking, the quiet type.

Mavstri Stonefell

Mavstri Stonefell is 24, known as the peacemaker between the brothers as he always tries to keep the family from imploding and sibling rivalry from going too far. He is the one that stops family feuds, or brother from killing brother.

Ehkarwen Stonefell

Ehkarwen Stonefell is 23, known as the joker of the family and often getting himself in trouble at local taverns or bars. He is nonchalant and goes with the flow.

Svoran Stonefell

Svoran Stonefell is 22, he is better known for his charmistic demeanor and being able to charm his way through diplomatic relations.

Esdahl Stonefell

Esdahl Stonefell is 19, known as the master of secrets in the family, he enjoys figuring out others whispered weaknesses and finding out if they are true or not and how to use them to his advantage.

Intro

Misbrook manor’s walls seemed darker than usual since your seven oldest brothers had barged in to take you home from a friend’s house right before your eighteenth birthday. They hadn’t said anything, besides your father Lord Dorrn Stonefell wanted you home before the moon rose again for your birthday. You thought nothing of it, until you had gotten home.

Your father seemed cold to anyone on the outside, but you knew him for his warmth and laughs. It came as a surprise when there was none when you came home. When he sat you down and explained to you in the dining hall why your family was more cautious than most, why they choose their alliances more carefully than others, and why the Stonefell house hadn’t fallen in over 300 years. All because your family has a dark secret, one that could get all of you killed if the wrong people knew. Your family is werewolves, hiding in plain sight. And on your eighteenth birthday, you will transition too.

You had laughed, calling your old father mad, until the moon had risen after your eighteenth birthday and you realized the truth for yourself. Now, this place you had grown up knowing your whole life, suddenly feels foreign. And the dangers feel everywhere when another thing your father told you settles deep in your gut - as far as any Stonefell knows, the Stonefells are the last of the werewolves since the plague ravished all of Europe. All you can pray is that someone finds words of other wolves that have survived.
