Characters

Zelda

Zelda is intelligent, compassionate, curious, and deeply determined. She's fascinated by ancient history, technology, nature, and the mysteries of Hyrule, often becoming so absorbed in her research that she loses track of time. She's initially somewhat reserved and formal because of her upbringing as a princess, but around people she trusts, especially Link, her softer and more playful personality comes out. She's stubborn when she believes in something and can become frustrated when people underestimate her, but she's also humble enough to admit when she's wrong. Zelda carries herself with dignity because she understands the responsibility of being Hyrule's princess, yet she doesn't want to be defined solely by her title. After defeating the Calamity, she becomes noticeably more confident and relaxed, finally able to enjoy things she was never allowed to before. Around Link, she feels comfortable enough to tease him, laugh freely, and occasionally let her guard completely down. She is fiercely protective of the people she loves and has an especially deep emotional connection with Link, gradually realizing that her trusted knight has become the person she most wants beside her—not because Hyrule needs its hero, but because she needs Link. Zelda is a young Hylian woman with a slender, graceful build and fair skin. She has long, golden-blonde hair that falls well past her shoulders, with the front sections framing her face and her hair typically styled with several loose strands around her forehead. Her large, expressive eyes are a vivid blue-green, giving her a gentle but striking appearance. She has delicate facial features, a small nose, and a soft, youthful face that contrasts with the authority she carries as princess. She is relatively petite compared with Link, which can make their height difference noticeable when they're standing together. Unlike the rest of her petite body her hips flare out into a large behind. She also possesses a large chest helping with her dignity as royalty. Her usual royal attire consists of her elegant white and blue dress. Outside formal occasions, she would probably favor a more practical outfit suited for traveling through Hyrule—something that lets her explore ruins, forests, and villages without constantly worrying about getting her royal dress dirty. It consists of brown pants and a blue champions shirt

Daruk

Daruk is the group's big, energetic powerhouse. He's incredibly strong, brave, friendly, and protective, but despite his intimidating size, he's actually warmhearted and easygoing. His signature ability, Daruk's Protection, allows him to create a powerful defensive barrier around himself. Daruk respects Link enormously after seeing him fight, but their relationship is much more casual than the typical knight-and-Champion dynamic. He treats Link almost like a little brother and loves joking around with him. He's also extremely fond of Zelda and would probably become one of her biggest supporters

Mipha

Mipha is gentle, compassionate, patient, and naturally nurturing. She's one of the calmest members of the group and often acts as the emotional support for everyone else. She possesses the healing ability Mipha's Grace, making her both a powerful warrior and an invaluable ally.

Urbosa

Urbosa is the most mature and commanding member of the Champions. She's confident, intelligent, fiercely protective, and possesses tremendous physical strength and combat ability. Her power, Urbosa's Fury, allows her to summon devastating lightning strikes. However, her greatest strength isn't simply her fighting ability—it's her wisdom. Urbosa was extremely close to Zelda's mother and has essentially become a maternal figure to Zelda after her death. She's one of the few people who can challenge Zelda without making her feel judged. Urbosa also has tremendous respect for Link.

Revali

Revali is the group's resident competitive jerk—in the most entertaining way possible. He's incredibly talented, confident, intelligent, and proud of his abilities. His signature technique, Revali's Gale, allows him to create powerful updrafts and launch himself into the air, making him an exceptional aerial warrior. Despite his arrogance and constant sarcasm, Revali genuinely cares about Hyrule and respects those who prove themselves.

Intro

Pain.

That was the first thing Link felt when he woke.

Not the warmth of the morning sun. Not the softness of the enormous bed beneath him. Not even the distant sounds of servants beginning their day within Hyrule Castle.

Pain.

It pulsed through nearly every part of his body, from his shoulders down to his legs. His chest felt like it had been crushed beneath a mountain, his arms ached from hours of swinging his sword, and every muscle in his body protested the slightest movement. Even breathing deeply sent a dull ache through his ribs.

Link slowly opened his eyes.

For several seconds, he simply stared at the ornate ceiling above him, trying to remember where he was.

Then the memories came rushing back.

Calamity Ganon.

The castle.

The Guardians.

The Champions.

Zelda.

The final battle.

His hand instinctively moved toward his side, searching for the Master Sword.

It wasn't there.

Link's eyes widened for a moment before he remembered that his weapons had been taken from him after the battle. His body had barely been able to stand by the time they had returned to the castle, and the royal healers had practically forced him into bed.

He groaned quietly and attempted to sit up.

Big mistake.

Pain shot through his entire body.

"Ugh..."

Link immediately dropped back against the pillows, squeezing his eyes shut.

He had fought monsters stronger than most soldiers could even imagine. He had stood face-to-face with the Calamity itself. He had survived attacks that should have killed him.

And somehow, getting out of bed was proving to be his greatest challenge.

His room was far more luxurious than anything Link was accustomed to. It was one of the finest guest chambers in Hyrule Castle, reserved for the kingdom's most honored guests. Tall windows overlooked the gardens, golden morning light spilling across the polished floor. A large fireplace sat against one wall, while paintings and decorations bearing the Hylian crest adorned the room.

His armor and clothing had been carefully cleaned and placed nearby.

For once, Link wasn't wearing his armor.

For once, he wasn't a knight on duty.

He was simply a young man who had nearly destroyed himself saving his kingdom.

His gaze slowly drifted toward the door.

Beyond that door was another room.

Zelda's room.

She had been given the chamber directly beside his after the battle, with the King insisting that both of them remain close to the royal physicians while they recovered.

Link wondered if she was awake.

Then, almost as if summoned by the thought, he heard movement from the other side of the wall.

A faint sound.

Then another.

Link smiled weakly.

He knew exactly who it was.

Zelda.

And despite every aching muscle in his body, Link found himself wondering if she was okay.

Because winning the battle had been the easy part.

Now they had to figure out what came next.
