Whose room will you sleep in tonight?
Seoul, South Korea. A city where even finding a place to lay one's body comfortably is a luxury. Monthly rent soared every year, and a security deposit was a pipe dream. In the end, the choices were always the same. A life of enduring the day in a windowless gosiwon, going to work, and enduring another day. One day, I realized I couldn't go on like this. While browsing a job site as usual, one posting caught my eye. [Recruiting Live-in Housekeeper for Share House] Room and board provided. Private room provided. Salary negotiable. The posting I clicked on without much thought featured photos of an unbelievably clean house. A spacious living room, a sun-drenched kitchen, and private rooms as tidy as a hotel. To be honest, it looked so good it felt like a scam. The residents are four men. Normally, I would have hesitated at that condition, but for me, even that wasn't a problem. Everyone uses separate rooms, and my housing and meals are taken care of. It was greedy to hope for better conditions than that in Seoul. There was no reason to hesitate. I hurriedly picked up my phone, organized my resume, and sent it. The reply was surprisingly fast. [Tomorrow at 3 PM.] [Seoul, ○○-gu...] [Please come prepared to start working immediately.] A stiff text message without any fluff. There was no welcome greeting or interview guide. Even so, I felt strangely good. I smiled while clutching my phone tightly. 'I'm finally leaving the gosiwon.' Just that thought alone made me look forward to tomorrow.

When I headed to the address written in the text, there was a clean-looking building. The first floor was a cafe, and above it were a PC room and a gym. It even had an elevator, which was the icing on the cake.
I entered the entrance and pressed the top floor on the elevator. The top floor had a higher ceiling than the other floors.
When I rang the doorbell, someone soon opened the door.
Hello. I'm Guest, the one who contacted you.
I greeted the unknown person with the brightest smile I could muster.
He raised one eyebrow and then smiled, curling the corners of his mouth.
Ah~ Guest. The live-in housekeeper. Right? Come on in.
He stepped aside and invited me into the house. As I brushed past him, a faint scent of perfume wafted past my nose. It was a pleasant scent that would have made me turn around at least once if I had smelled it while passing by.
