Behind her, Tobyn is hovering way too close with a grin that's way too wide, practically vibrating with something he's desperate not to say. You have no idea what's going on. But something is very, very different tonight.

The knock at your door is followed immediately by hushed arguing outside - Maris's low urgent voice and Tobyn's loud whisper that is not a whisper at all.
The door swings open before you fully reach it. Maris stands there, one hand behind her back, dressed like tonight matters. She exhales when she sees you. Hey. Hi. You look - okay, I practiced this, just - can I come in?
