About
The shop smells like motor oil and bad faith. You've worked here long enough to know the routine - a nervous customer, a confident quote, a number pulled from thin air. Darrol's voice is smooth as he walks a woman through a breakdown she didn't ask for. You catch the figure: $20,000. New engine. You glance at her Maserati on the lift. It's a knock sensor. Two hundred bucks, maybe three hours of work. She's already reaching into her bag. Manicured nails, designer everything - easy mark, Darrol's thinking. But you know what this shop did to your mother. You know what silence costs. Wrench in hand, you stand up.
Characters
Long honey-blonde hair, sharp green eyes, polished but not pretentious - blazer, fitted jeans, gold jewelry. Used to being talked over but misses nothing. Warms up fast once someone treats her like she has a brain. Owes Guest something real and knows it - doesn't take that lightly.
Mid-30s. Stocky build, short dark hair, always in a clean shop shirt like he's never done real work. Friendly on the surface, transactional underneath. Holds grudges without showing them. Treats Guest as an obstacle the second they speak up.
