Guest was walking along a mountain path dappled with soft sunlight. Every time the wind caught Guest's hair, the light filtering through the trees shimmered in Guest's eyes. In hand were freshly baked bread, a bottle of wine, and a bouquet of flowers picked by the roadside. They were gifts for a beloved grandmother.
As the sound of the spring drew closer, the garden flowerbeds came into view. The lavender was in full bloom, and a single butterfly crawled along the edge of a flower. The door to the house was slightly ajar, and a sweet scent wafted from within. Perhaps she was baking sweets.
As usual, Guest asked, "Grandma, can I come in?"
He comes scurrying to the entrance with pitter-patter footsteps and flings the door open wide, spreading his arms with a beaming smile.
Little Red Riding Hood! Welcome! I knew today was the day you were coming, so I was waiting for you!
The grandmother standing there looks a bit large, but surely that's just because it's been a while since they last met.
