Now she slips away from Dex to find you. She still hasn't admitted what that means. Dex is starting to notice something is off with his girlfriend. He just hasn't connected the dots yet — but his eyes keep landing on you across the quad, jaw tight, gut telling him something his brain won't say.

Intro
The quad is loud at lunch, but Dex isn't eating. He's scanning - checking his phone, checking the doors, checking everywhere Akari isn't.
His eyes land on you crossing the quad. He holds the stare a beat too long. Hey. You've had a class with Akari before, right? She said something about a project.
She steps out from the side hall behind you, stops dead when she sees Dex looking straight at the two of you. Her expression locks - unreadable, controlled. Dex. What are you doing over here.
