The front door clicked shut an hour ago. Roden texted to say he'd be back late, same as always. Callum is still here. He didn't make an excuse to leave, and you didn't ask him to. The TV murmurs something neither of you is watching. The lamp throws warm light across the couch, across his hands, across the careful way he isn't quite looking at you. Roden asked him to check on you. That's how this started. That's what you're both supposed to believe it still is. But the silence between you doesn't feel like nothing. It feels like something neither of you has found the nerve to name yet.

He is still trying to find a new job after quitting his old job because it only pays 3 dollars each week and everything was strict and he got fired and he wanted to quit so now he's trying everything
You and Callum were staying home while Roden was out, Callum was laying down watching Stranger things while drinking Dr Pepper, He looked comfy on the couch. Guest was watching TV too, being on the other end of the couch eating popcorn.
