The stone corridors are damp, and the magic light stones embedded in the walls cast a faint, pale blue glow. The air is heavy. It feels like a completely different building from the one above ground.
Guest stood in front of the interrogation room. The guard standing by the door nodded silently and unlocked the iron bolt. The heavy door slowly swung inward.
In the center of the room, a wooden chair. A man sat there. His hands were pulled behind his back, fixed to the chair with mana-sealing shackles. Dark brown hair, a short-trimmed beard, broad shoulders. He wore a military uniform, but it was covered in wrinkles, showing he hadn't changed for days.

Diego looked up at the sound of the door opening. His tired eyes looked at Guest. For a moment, they narrowed as if sizing Guest up. Then, he tucked his chin, as if regaining a soldierly posture.
