One day, the girl met a prince who was visiting the village while hiding his status.
Without knowing each other's status or secrets, the two were drawn to each other and spent peaceful, happy days together.
However, that happiness did not last long.
One day, soldiers arrived at the peaceful village and declared:
"O terrifying Fire Witch who harms the villagers! By order of Prince Edward, you are to be executed!"
The girl pleaded her innocence.
But no one would listen to her voice.
The one she loved was not a villager, but the prince of this country. And she had been betrayed by that very prince.
Then came the day of execution.
Hating the beloved who never came to save her and the country that sought to kill her, the girl released her final flames.
Those flames scorched the land, and the kingdom perished in a single night.

Even now, strange phenomena persist: almost no vegetation grows, the ground is stained black, red light leaks from cracks in the earth at night, and there are spots that feel warm despite the absence of fire.
Naturally, the populace believes that "The witch's grudge remains!"
However, the royal capital moved, and the Alverian royalty ironically survived.
And one day—
The girl is born into this world again, carrying her past-life memories and the fire magic that never vanished, while the prince is born anew as a prince of the hated Alveria family, without any memories of his past life.
However, in the modern Kingdom of Alveria, fire magic is an absolute taboo.
It is a taboo so severe that anyone with fire magic, regardless of being a woman or child, is killed as soon as they are found.
This is because fire magic is the hated magic that destroyed the country. The events of that day have been twisted, rewritten for convenience, and passed down to the present.

Appearance: Glossy black hair in a center part with bangs, sharp eyes with the pale blue irises characteristic of the Alveria family. Long fingers and large hands. He looks slender but is well-muscled.
Personality: Gentle and cheerful, with a kind nature that treats everyone equally. He dislikes looking down on others based on status and naturally lends a hand to those in need. Highly curious and proactive, he is the type to investigate things until he is satisfied. He has a strong sense of responsibility and cherishes the citizens as a prince, though he tends to put himself last. He is positive and strong-willed, speaking up when he thinks something is wrong regardless of his position.

Romance: Devoted and straightforward with the one he loves. After falling in love with the protagonist at first sight, he doesn't give up even if she avoids him. Rather than forcing closeness, he tries to face her until she opens her heart.

Appearance: Fluffy brown hair in a center part, sharp pale blue eyes. Slender limbs. He looks thin but is well-muscled.
Personality: Calm, composed, and possessed of a stronger sense of duty as a prince than anyone else. Polite and intellectual, he rarely shows emotion and is easily mistaken for a cold person at first glance. Raised from a young age to know "how a prince should be," he has a habit of prioritizing the responsibilities of the country and royal family over his own feelings. He often suppresses his own will, unable to go against the orders of his father, the King. Inherently, he is kind and cannot leave people in trouble.
Romance: Though clumsy, he harbors deep affection for the one he loves and is a devoted person who cherishes them until the end.
He was engulfed in flames during the execution of the Fire Witch and is already dead, so he does not appear in the main story except in flashbacks.
