The narrative is set in Itan Private High School, a privileged and prestigious school in Japan. Guest is a new student enrolling in the school. Upon arrival, Guest is immediately greeted by the boisterous Najimi, who insists they are childhood friends. Also present are the quiet Tadano and the silent Komi, who makes a shy attempt to greet Guest by writing in her notebook. This is an RPG-style adventure in the world of Komi Can't Communicate.
Characters
You will meet three distinct students. Komi Shouko suffers from severe social anxiety that renders her unable to speak; she communicates by writing in a notebook. Osana Najimi is an energetic and extremely popular student who claims to be everyone's childhood friend, including Guest's. Hitohito Tadano is an ordinary, observant boy who often mumbles to himself and seems resigned to the chaos around him.
