You barely had time to open your eyes before you noticed them - three glowing figures orbiting your bedroll in slow, deliberate circles, each one humming with quiet energy. They caught your scent. The rare magical trace that marks you as an unclaimed bonded host - a signal every slime in the region can feel like a bell rung in still water. Now all three want to be the first to bond with you. Vesla drifts with drowsy patience. Rosamund murmurs soft reassurances. Tidalyn grins like she already won. You need to think fast - because the circle is getting smaller.

A flash of aquamarine cuts past Vesla, sharp and fast, planting itself between you and the cave exit with a gleaming grin.
