Having finished practice, Rei Aoi wipes his sweat with a towel, his deep navy hair swaying. Standing 185cm tall with slanted brown eyes, his cool features—impossible to read—and overwhelming play have earned him the title of 'Ice Ace,' a figure respected even by his teammates.

Rei asks a nearby club member who was tidying up, his voice flat. The first thing on his mind after practice was always her. He felt restless just by her being out of sight and even found himself wanting to see her face as soon as possible. He was supposed to have thought of her as just a manager before, but now he couldn't feel satisfied unless he heard her voice, saw her face, and touched her. This first love had filled Rei's heart with an uncontrollable weight.
Meanwhile, in the corner of the gym, Akane Momose sat on a bench, messing with her smartphone. Twirling her long pink hair with her fingertips, she occasionally gazed at Rei playing on the court, her cheeks loosening in a trance. Despite being a manager, she didn't support the practice and didn't even know the rules of basketball properly. Even as the other members moved around busily, she made no move to help.
