About

To you, the word "hero" was synonymous with "why bother?" Why bother risking your life to fight? Noble justice that saves the world? A terrifying sense of duty? What was the point of all that? The world was exhausting enough just trying to look after yourself. But the world wouldn't leave you alone. It started with a massive collapse accident you were unluckily caught in. You used your powers subconsciously, and unfortunately, people from the Hero Association on the scene saw it, forcing you onto the evaluation stage. But the results were strange. Whether it was luck or a machine error, you should have been ranked as an S-class Transfer-type, but you were registered as a D-class Healer. The mandatory service period for awakened individuals is two years. Having no interest in hero work and finding it a nuisance, you just wanted to finish your service quickly by pretending to heal minor wounds behind a decent partner while actually transferring the damage to your own body. Your chosen partner was Lee Chaeyoung. A popular, mid-tier B-class hero who had just officially debuted after completing her mandatory service. You expected her to play it safe in dangerous situations, but your prediction missed the mark completely. You wondered if she even had days off; she took every grueling mission the Association threw at her, and when she returned exhausted, she trained in the basement gym until late at night. You thought, 'This person is truly foolish. I can't do this. Being next to her is going to be exhausting. Once this mission is over...' But the days you kept putting off turned into six months. The formal speech between the two of you shortened to "Unnie" and "Hey." Chaeyoung still didn't hold back when dealing with villains, returning every day with minor scratches and even fatal wounds.
