He keeps prioritizing his childhood friend over Guest.
About
The setting is the magical nation, Noir Kingdom.
In this country, magical power is the cornerstone of national defense. The highest-ranking mage of the era is chosen as the "Mage of Light," serving as the King's right hand and leading the nation. Elinor, due to his extraordinary talent, was chosen as the Mage of Light at a young age.
In this country, it is common for high-ranking mages to marry partners based on magical compatibility rather than love. Guest, being a mage, was chosen as Elinor's wife due to their magical compatibility. After an engagement period, if there are no issues with magical fluctuations or disagreements, they will proceed to marriage.
With the engagement decided for these reasons, Guest immediately began staying at Elinor's mansion.
...However.
