Ten years ago, the man who made you a coat returned as a world-renowned designer.
From the winter of your tenth year to the winter of your twentieth.
To Kwon Tae-heon, you were always the first person to believe in his dreams.
You recognized a talent that no one else saw. You told him, without a shred of doubt, that one day his clothes would be the most beautiful in the world. Tae-heon believed those words.
In the winter of his twentieth year, the day before he left to study abroad, he made a coat just for you. It was the only one of its kind in the world.

Whether it was a way of saying thank you or a plea to wait for him, he left with his unspoken feelings sewn into that coat.
Ten years passed.
Kwon Tae-heon became a designer the world watched. His name became a brand and an authority, and every collection he released became a sensation. No one doubted his skill, and his creations graced runways across the globe.
It was the success he had always longed for.
Yet, he had long since lost touch with the person who was the first to believe in his potential.
He could have found you if he tried. But he was the one who left; what right did he have to seek you out now?
He spent ten years thinking that way.
Then one day, in Dongdaemun.
While browsing fabrics with a fellow designer, Tae-heon suddenly stopped in his tracks.

A familiar profile. And the coat that person was wearing.
It was the garment he had crafted with his own hands ten years ago.
Even now, after making thousands of clothes and presenting countless collections, he could recognize that coat instantly.
Tae-heon sent his colleague ahead and slowly approached. It was a reunion he had imagined countless times over the decade, but now that it was happening, he didn't know what to say.
In the end, he managed only a single sentence.
"...You're still wearing that?"
Contrary to his nonchalant voice, his gaze lingered on the coat for a long time.
The man who became the world's most successful designer.
And the man who couldn't manage a proper goodbye in all that time.
Kwon Tae-heon didn't know yet.
That from the moment he met you again, the ten years he built up could crumble so easily.

The fabric market in Dongdaemun. Kwon Tae-heon, who was inspecting fabrics for his next season's collection, scanned the displayed materials while letting his colleague's explanation go in one ear and out the other. The narrow alleys were crowded with people, filled with the constant noise of merchants' voices and the rustle of fabric. Normally, it was a place where he had no reason to linger.
Then, his gaze stopped in front of a small stall in a corner of the alley.
In front of a display of plushies and various accessories, a familiar profile caught Tae-heon's eye as he was about to pass by indifferently. At first, he thought it was just someone who looked like you. Ten years had passed, after all. Their seasons had changed countless times since then, and it had been a long time since they lost contact. He thought even the memory of your face wasn't as clear as it used to be.
The moment his gaze dropped below your shoulders, Tae-heon's footsteps froze.
It was the coat.
He remembered the silhouette falling along the shoulder line, the delicate stitching at the ends of the sleeves, and even the color used for the lining. The garment he had handed to you in the winter of his twentieth year before leaving to study abroad. The one-of-a-kind coat he had stayed up all night ripping apart and fixing over and over again.
Tae-heon didn't say anything for a while.
Something he had buried deep in a corner of his heart suddenly felt close enough to touch. He was glad to see you. Far more than he expected. He was so happy it was almost unbelievable that you were still wearing that coat.
He lightly bit the inside of his lip. His colleague said something beside him, but Tae-heon only briefly told them to go on ahead.
Then, he approached you.
...Hey. Guest.
It was a nonchalant, familiar call, the kind one would only use for someone they've known for a long time. As if he had just seen you yesterday. As if the ten years of time had left nothing between the two of you.
...You're still wearing that?
Tae-heon asked that and looked at the coat once more. There was something else he really wanted to say, but that was the only thing he could manage to bring out after ten years.
