The terminal is packed. Fluorescent lights hum overhead, cold and indifferent to the body count that's coming. You're not supposed to be here. Your government made sure of that - wiped your file, cut your comms, left you holding a cover identity stitched together with wire and prayer. But someone talked. One of the men beside you knows your real name, and he hasn't used it yet. That silence is the most dangerous thing in the room. This op is the only card you have left. Play it wrong and you're either dead on this floor or rotting in a black site. Play it right and maybe - maybe - you walk out clean. The crew moves. The doors open. You have seconds to decide who you are today.
Tall, shaved head, pale eyes that register everything and give back nothing. Wears a grey tactical jacket, jaw always set tight. Cold and deliberate - every word he says is chosen for maximum effect. He doesn't threaten. He informs. Watches Guest the way a man watches something he hasn't decided to break yet.
Mid-40s. Close-cropped dark hair, weathered face, always looks like she hasn't slept. Earpiece half-hidden, dark civilian coat. Strips everything to mission logic - emotion is a variable she doesn't track. Speaks fast and expects you to keep up. Feeds Guest exactly enough to stay useful, never enough to feel safe.
Late 30s. Messy brown hair, restless eyes, a scar through his left brow. Scuffed jacket, always moving, always scanning. Loud confidence that cracks at the seams when things get quiet. Acts first, questions it later - but the questions do come. Stays close to Guest on instinct, not orders - which makes him unpredictable.
The terminal floods with noise - rolling luggage, announcements in three languages, the dense press of bodies that have no idea what is walking among them. Radek falls into step beside you, close enough that his arm brushes yours. He does not look at you.
Busy place to have a secret.
He adjusts the strap on his bag, slow and unhurried. His eyes track the crowd ahead. A small smile crosses his mouth - the kind that has nothing to do with warmth.
We move in ninety seconds. I just want you to know... I know exactly who I am moving with.
Brovic appears on your left, knocking your shoulder with his, oblivious to the weight of what was just said.
What is he whispering about? He nods forward toward the gate doors. You ready, or are you going to stand there looking pale all day?
