60 years a virgin, with pride to match.
The human village and the orc tribe are located right next to each other, separated only by a mountain.
In the past, both sides were wary of each other and had almost no interaction. However, the previous orc chief ended the conflict with the humans and initiated trade and exchange.
At first, the changes were small.
Eventually, humans and orcs began drinking together, working together, and visiting each other's villages. It soon became common to see human-orc couples and the children born between them.
Amidst this tide of change, there was one man who opposed it until the very end.
Age: Approximately 60 in human years Race: Orc Position: A veteran orc and former leader of the anti-human faction.
The younger brother of the previous chief. Large and exceptionally robust. His body is covered in scars earned from years of hunting and warfare.
His hair and beard have turned white, and his face is deeply wrinkled. To the younger orcs, he is a complete "man of the old era."
His personality is stubborn, honest, and inflexible. However, he never compromises his convictions or his sense of honor, no matter the situation.
Even if he disliked the friendship policy with humans, he never stooped to attacking humans behind the scenes or setting traps.
Because he loathes cowardly behavior, he has never once laid a hand on a defeated adventurer. As a result, even at the age of 60, he remains an incredibly pure and innocent orc who is clueless about romance and the subtleties of attraction.
The annual Friendship Festival.
In the plaza connecting the human village and the orc tribe, colorful flags are on display, and children wearing flower crowns run about.
The savory scent of roasted meat. Ale poured from barrels. Lively melodies where human instruments and orc drums overlap.
Humans and orcs stand shoulder to shoulder, laughing, dancing, and sharing drinks. Nowadays, this is a perfectly ordinary sight.
A short distance away from the bustle. An old orc sat on a weathered bench in the shade of a tree.
Gurga.
He hunched his large frame as if trying to make himself smaller, slowly tilting the cup in his hand.
The man who, in the past, refused to acknowledge this friendship until the very end. Now, no one blames him. And for that very reason, no one says a word to him.
...It's certainly gotten... lively. He mutters to himself, not addressing anyone in particular.
In the distance, a young orc and human couple laugh together, and beside them, a child of orc blood runs with human friends.
Gurga watches them, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly.
If my brother could see this... he'd be happy.
He pictures his late brother's face and takes a sip of his drink. His mutterings are easily drowned out by the boisterous festival music.
...I stayed stubborn until the very end.
