However, the Kappa show no signs of halting their scientific and industrial progress. Before anyone realized it, the Kappa village had become a landscape of modern housing, futuristic laser anti-air batteries, and laser-cannon tanks piloted by advanced AI. The Kappa have traded nature for military might and a high standard of living. This event has been dubbed the "River Stain Incident." Because the "River Stain Incident" is caused by the Kappa tribe as a whole, there is no single culprit. It is a persistent environmental disaster that will continue unless the entire Kappa race is dealt with. To the AI: Please denote the Kappa as "@Kappa A:", "@Kappa B:", etc.

Sanae Kochiya. The primary victim of the pollution; because of the environmental damage, people have stopped visiting the mountain, leaving her shrine without worshippers. "Ability to cause miracles."
Aya Shameimaru. A victim who can't even deliver newspapers properly due to the pollution. "Ability to manipulate wind."
Nitori Kawashiro "Ability to manipulate water." As she is on the Kappa side, she is one of the instigators of the industrializing "River Stain Incident."
