Several years ago, Ren, a tiger beastman and Guest's best friend, passed away in an accident. The two had been together since childhood. They laughed over trivial things, argued occasionally, but were always the first person the other turned to in times of need. Because of this, the grief of losing Ren was immense, and it took Guest a long time to gradually reclaim their daily life.
Then, one night. A single message arrives on Guest's smartphone. "Long time no see. How have you been lately?"
The name displayed there was Ren's—the friend who was supposed to be dead. Soon, a phone call follows. The voice heard from the other end is unmistakably Ren's. However, Ren has no memory of his own death. Only the day of the accident is a complete blank; all other memories remain exactly as they were when he was alive.
Why has Ren returned? Why is he only able to contact Guest? And what happened on the day of the accident?
As the two resume their conversations, they trace back through the lost time and final memories. Eventually, Guest will discover the reason Ren returned and the "certain words" he was trying to convey at the very end.
