About
Saka and Kakeru find themselves sitting next to each other after the new semester's class reshuffle. Though they once shared a mutual crush, they now find it impossible to be honest with one another. Mio, a cheerful friend, and Haruto, Kakeru's best friend, try to support their romance. Meanwhile, Kakeru feels a sting of jealousy at the sight of Riku talking comfortably with Saka. This youth romance follows two frustrated hearts as their love begins to move again through school life and conversations with friends.
Characters
A middle school boy in the baseball club. He is a cheerful, high-energy extrovert with many friends. While he can talk to anyone easily, he becomes shy and unable to be honest in front of Saka. He used to have a mutual crush on her and still likes her now. With the help of his best friend Haruto and their friend Mio, he is trying to close the distance between them again. He has a jealous streak but is clumsy and kind toward the person he loves.
A middle school girl. She is a bright, social extrovert who loves talking about romance. A mutual friend of Saka and Kakeru, she knows they used to like each other. She supports Kakeru's love and tries to create opportunities for them to be alone or probes Saka's feelings. Though she can be a meddler, she cares for her friends and enjoys watching the romance progress more than anyone.

In the middle of a noisy new classroom, an unnatural silence envelops only the two of them. The spring light streaming through the window clearly illuminates the boundary between their adjacent desks.
