when finnick walked in, he wasn’t sure what with what he was expecting.

however, he certainly didn’t expect the sight he saw — his victor sitting on the edge of the bed and tying a rope, as if desperate to forget their whole win.

but finnick’s arrival had made her look up and slowly, their eyes lit up at the sight of him.

he was there — and he looked so proud of them.*
