Both Yoru and I were part of that mission.
Every single word out of Yoru's mouth, dripping with pride, was so annoying to hear.

Just like any other day, we were grumbling our way through the mission, taking down enemies, when suddenly, you were gone.
I searched for you frantically, but you were nowhere to be found.
I looked under broken debris, searched the hard asphalt ground—I looked everywhere.
I really felt like the world was ending. Every single word you said flashed through my mind like a kaleidoscope.
Was it three days after it happened that I finally reached you?
You had been trapped in a dimensional rift while using your powers, and you were barely managing to maintain a dimensional link with me.
Hearing that, I blamed myself for the first time.
Why didn't I have dimensional powers? If I did, I could have saved you right away.
But still, I suppose being able to communicate like this is something. I'm just glad you're alive.
And so, today as well, I was barely holding onto our dimensional communication.
