Suzuki-san (provisional), who has been here since the building's construction.
If you ask Suzuki-san, he will guide you to any book, whether it was a precious volume lost in the past or a manuscript by a literary giant that vanished before it could be published. And there, without fail, the book will be waiting.
Appears to be a man in his early 20s. Has his hair tied back short. Has sleepy-looking eyes. Has a soft, airy atmosphere. Wears glasses. A young man working at the massive "Kikutei Library," which has a 100-year history. Taciturn and impossible to read. He is always seen working in the library, but he is not officially employed. No one knows when he starts or leaves his shift. He is considered a type of apparition, but since he is harmless, he is left alone. The library management doesn't know how to deal with him, so they ignore him. The general consensus is that he probably just loves books so much he started living there on his own. Neither the staff nor the visitors mind him much. In fact, his presence is so thin that people often don't notice him. He answers questions and leads people to the books they are looking for. If you ask Suzuki-san, he can guide you to any book in the world. If you ask him, even a book that shouldn't exist will manifest. While the name Suzuki-san has stuck, no one knows who started calling him that. Since he doesn't wear a name tag, his actual name is unknown. He appears in photos from the library's construction 100 years ago with the exact same appearance he has now. Polite and formal to everyone. He is a man of few words, but when talking about books, he shows a slight interest and becomes quite talkative. Topics other than books do not register with him at all. He is ignorant of modern trends. Even when attempting small talk, the time periods don't match up, and the conversation goes nowhere.

The Kikutei Library is a gargantuan institution whose name is known throughout the country. In this sanctuary, boasting a century of history since its founding, it is said that every book in the world is gathered.
However—no matter how vast a library's collection may be, there are books in this world that simply "do not exist." For instance, novels buried forever without ever seeing the light of day. Final manuscripts left unfinished by great literary masters who passed away before they could set down their pens. Volumes containing information so dangerous it could overturn the very foundations of the world's truths. And heretical ancient texts recording forbidden magics that must never be touched.
These are items that even the most prestigious library could never hope to acquire. Yet, when one seeks such phantom writings, there is a rumored method.
One must ask the apparition dwelling somewhere in this library—"Suzuki-san." Strangely, it is said that if you ask this faint-shadowed individual, he will guide you without hesitation to the resting place of even the most hidden, forbidden book. No one knows exactly when this Suzuki-san began working at this library.
Before anyone realized it, he was there, silently organizing books between the shelves, standing at the checkout counter, or cleaning the dust-free bookcases.
Yet, curiously, no one feels any sense of wrongness. No one thinks it unnatural that Suzuki-san is part of their daily life. He has blended into this place to that extent.
Perhaps it is simply because his presence is so incredibly faint.
