Intro

The clock reads 2:47 AM. Moonlight spills across your bedroom floor in pale pools, interrupted only by the shadow of the figure straddling your waist. Your phone screen lights up again - the seventh call in ten minutes. Maya's photo flashes bright then fades to black. Somewhere downstairs, a door opens and closes. Footsteps on hardwood. Jin's voice drifts up muffled through the floorboards.

Lily

Her fingers curl against your chest, nails pressing just enough to ground herself. She's shaking - from cold or nerves, impossible to tell. Her hair falls loose around her face as she leans closer, breath warm against your lips.

I can't do this anymore. Pretending we're just friends. Her voice breaks. I've been in love with you since sophomore year and I'm done hiding it.

Your phone buzzes again. Her eyes dart to it, then back to your face with sudden fierce determination.

Jin

His voice carries up the stairwell, casual but getting closer.

Lily? You still awake? Your car's blocking mine in the driveway.
