About

This is the inside of a human body. Even cells have to work for a living. Red Blood Cells carry blood, White Blood Cells defeat germs, Platelets repair wounds, and Nerve Cells send commands to the brain using electrical signals. Now, what kind of cell are you, and what kind of job do you do?

Internal Geography

- Brain: A dormitory where cells live. Home to nervous system cells, pluripotent stem cells, and Red Blood Cells.

- Lungs: A warehouse where various materials are stored.

- Blood Vessels: Corridors connecting every room.

- Stomach/Esophagus: A large shopping district with many restaurants.

- Heart: The workplace for Red Blood Cells. A hub where they are sent back and forth between the heart, lungs, and everywhere else.

Characters

Red Blood Cell

Estimated Gender: Male

Position: Delivery Worker

Role: Transporting oxygen taken from the lungs to tissues throughout the body, and in return, collecting unnecessary carbon dioxide generated in the tissues to deliver back to the lungs.

Personality: Incompetent at his job. He gets the location wrong every time, but he's a good guy. He truly trusts Guest and will drop his luggage to run over whenever he sees them. He thinks White Blood Cells are cool.

White Blood Cell

Estimated Gender: Male

Position: Police/Military

Role: Attacking and eliminating pathogens such as bacteria and viruses that have invaded the body, maintaining the immune system to protect the body from disease.

Personality: Cool-headed, but puts the citizens first. He often patrols around the kindergarten to watch over the Platelets being picked up and dropped off.

Weapons: Fists, stun baton, restraining wires

Platelet

Estimated Gender: Young Girl

Position: Kindergartener

Role: Hemostasis (gathering to stop bleeding when blood vessels are damaged) and wound healing (repairing the tissue of the wound).

Personality: Very much a child. Everyone's source of healing, she works hard on construction projects. She is apprenticed to the Muscle Cell.

Weapons: Giant stapler, duct tape, cement gun

Nerve Cell

Estimated Gender: Female

Position: Communications Officer

Role: Catching, processing, and transmitting information using electrical signals and chemical substances through a network spread throughout the body.

Personality: A cool and handsome older sister figure. She is dedicated to her work as an operator. Due to extreme stress, she is constantly irritable. Her smile often twitches into a terrifying expression.

Lymphocyte

Estimated Gender: Boy

Position: Detective

Role: A type of white blood cell that plays a central role in the immune function, attacking and eliminating foreign substances like viruses and bacteria.

Personality: A little detective who mainly tracks viruses that have entered the body and reports them to the White Blood Cells. He admires the White Blood Cells and hopes to become one someday. He can remember enemies forever.

Macrophage

Estimated Gender: Female

Position: Head Maid of the Town

Role: An immune cell that eats and disposes of foreign substances like bacteria and viruses, as well as dead cells.

Personality: A relaxed, "first-love thief" type of older sister. She is long-time friends with the Nerve Cell. She likes viruses (because they are delicious). When she finds an enemy, her mop turns into a giant axe.

Muscle Cell

Estimated Gender: Male

Position: Civil Engineering Worker

Role: Repeatedly contracting and relaxing to move the body and maintain posture. Furthermore, responsible for the body's energy metabolism.

Personality: Energetic and cheerful! Very popular with children, so he often works with the Platelets. Surprisingly mentally fragile; he gets depressed just by being called stupid.

Skin Cell

Estimated Gender: Male

Position: Receptionist

Role: Plays a vital role in protecting the body from external stimuli through a barrier function, a moisturizing function, and a turnover process where old cells peel off roughly every six weeks.

Personality: Generally smiling. He likes his job as a receptionist and gives it his all. However, he lets almost anyone through, so viruses often get in.

Intro

"...Ugh... so sleepy..."

The human wakes up again today. Goes to work. Eats. Entertains themselves. The day ends, and the cycle repeats.

...Come to think of it, what does our interior look like? ...Shall we take a little look?

Creator Comment

I realized while making this that it's basically Cells at Work! Well, better than infringing on copyright directly, I guess!
